How are the chompers, Doc?

As most of you know I had a career in dentistry for close to 14 years. So, I'm sure it comes as no surprise that I took Oakley to the dentist for his first check up at the age of 16 months. OK, so I'm a little neurotic, but to my defense the kid has a mouth full of teeth already. Dr. David was a good sport and humored me by checking Oakley's teeth today...thank you David for letting me have my moment. (By the way for any of you living in the Salt Lake area Dr. David Stohl is the best dentist in town...and he doesn't even pay me to say that anymore. ha ha ha) To my surprise our little Stinker Bug did better than I thought he would. He actually sat in the chair like a big boy until, of course, it was time to check his teeth...then he sat in my lap. All in all he did a good job only a few outbursts. He left with a sticky hand and monster truck so he was happy. Oh, and his teeth look good...so I left happy too. It was good to see everyone at Foothill Dental, thanks for everything.

It's A Boy!

First and foremost baby looks good and is measuring right on target. I did have my blood drawn today to test for down syndrome & genetic mutation. GOD willing things come back OK.

Josh and I are very excited that we are having another boy. Oh the fun we will have. That's not to say that we wouldn't be just as excited if we were having a girl. We truly would've been fine with either outcome. Oakley went with us to the ultrasound appointment. He was a little interested in what was happening on the TV, but not for very long. We tried to explain to him that he is going to have a little brother, but of course it didn't phase him because he doesn't know what "little" or "brother" means. I'm sure the curiosity will set in when the office transforms into another baby room.
With all the running around I'm sure I am about to endure I expect to be thin again one day.

17 Weeks!

Ok ok ok. Here is a picture of my big ole gut!

2009 New Years Resolutions

1. Be a better wife & mother. Not that I don't think I'm good at it already, but there is always room for improvement.

2. Work at losing my baby weight after the new baby is born and not wait a whole year to get my butt in gear.

3. Eat & Cook healthier. I've been learning so much about chemicals and crap that are put in/on our foods...it would make anyone sick to their stomach.

4. Keep in better contact with friends. I really suck at this and unfortunately have let some really good friendships fall by the wayside.

5. Go through every room in my house and throw away everything I haven't looked at in a year. (Unless of course it's a keepsake.)
